This is a video made to show how our languages can link together. It shows that there is always something to unite us, even if it’s just a word or two. It’s about a common ground.
Very beautiful introduction! I’ll work on my own video where I will try to include all the languages I learnt in the chronological order and show how well Asian and African languages can mix with the European ones.
This. This is exactly it. Thank you for putting into words the feeling that some of us language lovers struggle to communicate. I hope to be able to do the same someday soon 🙂
And thank you for this wonderful conference experience. Discovering the polyglot community has changed my world for the best~
Your talk was a complete work of art and what a beautiful point you make seeing the connections between all of these languages. Listening to you speak Russian and then morph into the Balkan languages gives me hope about resurrecting my Russian and maybe even the teensy bit of Bulgarian I had. Gorgeous.
THIS! I feel like we just got a sneak peak inside your brain, Richard! The fluency with which you switched between all those languages and didn’t hesitate in the slightest is incredible. I love seeing connections between languages I didn’t expect to be similar. Great video 😀
Your video was amazing and extremely inspirational. It makes me want to continue with my language learning processes regardless if I’m studying one language or 10 languages. Thank you so much for putting on this wonderful conference and allowing me to participate not only as a speaker but as a language lover as well. God bless you my friend and much love to you and your family.
Wonderful! You are who I have always wanted to be with my languages. I want particularly to compliment you on your accent – in the languages I understood, your ability to hear and recreate the local accent is truly noteworthy. Thank you for the inspiring presentation!
That was amazing. Vă mulțumesc. Vielen Dank. Gracias. Arigatou. I really enjoyed watching the seamless transitions into each language. Thank you for creating the Polyglot Conference. It’s a wonderful way to connect with the world.
Very lyrical and enchanting! Richard, you are the Dumbledore in the magical universe of languages. As Lord Byron once said about Cardinal Mezzofanti, you are a “walking polyglot” and you could have acted as a “universal interpreter” at the times of the Tower of Babel. Will you be our mentor also in many years to come?

Inspiring, thank you.
This makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand on end!
I am also amazed at the amount I understood of the languages I (supposedly) don’t speak
Lovely presentation. I like the way you made a bridge between languages with certain words such as moment, problem etc.
Lovely presentation! Your knowledge is incredible, you are a true inspiration!!

Amazing! How many years I need to get fluent in Germany ?
Thank you, easily the most elegant display of code-switching I’ve ever seen.
Always an inspiration, Richard. Terima kasih!
Brilliant video, Richard! I’m particularly impressed with how great your accent is in the few languages I can judge.
OMG – this is so friggin’ clever! Now I want to try it, but I’m afraid I don’t quite have enough languages to make it interesting.
Richard, this is amazing!!!! I’m pleased that you included Scots as my mum was born in Glasgow.
Richard, this is amazing! Thank you for continuously sharing your passion for languages.

Incredibly amazing. I really enjoyed watching it and tried to look at the subtitles to see which language you are speaking.
I counted 20 different languages that you spoke in about 3 minutes. Wow.
